RingCentral has become Mitel's exclusive UCaaS partner that will replace MiCloud Connect. The great news is that RingCentral's Message Video Phone (MVP) platform is the clear leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant. So what does this mean for your UCaaS MiCloud Connect solution?

What Should I Expect?

“The key differentiated feature of this new partnership is that Mitel’s users will be able to utilize RingCentral’s cloud-based video and team messaging capabilities alongside Mitel’s on-premise technology,” said Vlad Shmunis, RingCentral’s CEO.

Short answer: Things will change in the future and we will have ample time to prepare.

When Will This Change?

Neither Mitel nor RingCentral have made an official announcement about when they expect this change to occur. However, both have made assurances that current customers will receive notice far in advance in order to give them time to understand how this change will impact their business (or if there will be an impact at all).
